How Allison From Spain Got Her Belly Button Pierced

Monday, September 24th, 2007

July 2007, Allison, Mijas, Malaga, Spain

Well I’ve just today gotten my belly button pierced! I’ve wanted it for a while now, and all my friends have it so I decided to just go for it.

I was walking past the shop and I thought, it cant hurt THAT bad, can it? So I went inside and chose which one I wanted…etc.

I was petrified. But she put me at ease and just told me to breathe and relax. There was no way I wanted to look at the needle though! I’ll be honest, it hurt. Not in a scream and cry kinda way though, its hard to explain.

The bit that hurt the most really was the clamping bit at the start. But when she did show me the needle when shed finished I thought I was going to pass out!

But I’m in love with it now, it’s fine. It looks so pretty and really suits me. I’m actually proud of myself! I never thought I’d have the guts! :P But it was worth it!

Navel Piercing With Baby On Lap

Monday, September 24th, 2007

July 2007, Claudia, Falardeau, Quebec, Canada

Hi!! I’m 27 years old and I am a mama of 3 kids. I’ve got my belly button pierced almost 8 months ago.

I’ve wanted this for like 12 years so I was really happy about it!! It didn’t hurt, in fact I got it pierced with my baby girl trying to get on my lap!!Lolll.

The piercing lady was very careful and professional. I got it pierced a different way, instead of having it up on my belly button I got it pierced under it. Its very cute and sexy and I love it!!!

It’s not easy to find barbell that fits cause I always have to turn it upside down but it’s worth it cause it’s different. I’m gonna get pregnant again next fall so I’m gonna have to get one of those special pregnant belly button piercings.

I hope I won’t have to take it off but if I have to I’m gonna have it pierced again after the birth of the baby!!!

Girl Gets Light Headed - Belly Piercing Experience

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

September 2007, Dian, Carlinville, United States

I’m 20 years old and I just got mine pierced yesterday.

I went to a local shop that has an extremely good reputation. I’m a bit of a germaphobe so I made sure to ask him about how he cleans the instruments used and if he used a new needle every time. It turns out my piercer was a germaphobe so everything was extremely clean, thank God!

Anyway, he began the piercing and got through the first layer of skin, but apparently I have tough skin and he had a lot of trouble piercing the top layer. He had to adjust his grip and apply a lot of force. I must admit…it hurt. But I can take pain so I got through it with a few muttered ows.

But then I started getting light headed, hot, and sick to my stomach. When I tried to stand, I almost passed out. I spent the rest of the day on the verge of passing out or throwing up. It was terrible.

But today I feel fine and I love the piercing. But if someone had told me it was going to such that much, then I probably wouldn’t have gotten it done.

Belly Button Pain During The Piercing

Sunday, September 23rd, 2007

June 2007, Jean, Singapore

Well, I just pierced my navel a week ago. I wasn’t desperate for a navel piercing though. Just wanted to pierce something.

My brothers brought me to a piercing studio after my countless pleas. However when I reached the studio was closed. So I had no choice but to go there the next day, alone.

When I entered there were only 2 guys with lotsa piercings and tattoos chatting in the shop… Felt kinda weird to be there cos Singapore’s not really the place where many people have piercings and tattoos… Don’t know why. But yeah. I chose a blue curved barbell, signed the papers… Went in.

For me, my piercing hurt. I don’t suppose that’s rare or normal. My piercer did not numb my navel like what some shops do. Maybe he’s a rookie or something. After telling me about the aftercare and whatever, he marked… Then clamped… The clamp was a little uncomfortable. But not a problem.

When he finally started piercing my navel, I could feel my flesh tearing apart as the needle went in. Then he took my barbell and inserted it. That was the part where I really felt pain. I have no idea why. I didn’t cry or shout. It was just painful.

I stood up feeling rather giddy. Looked at my navel and walla! Fell in love. Walking after that made me feel a little queasy. It felt kinda weird cos it’s as if I injured my navel (tell me what are the chances of people injuring their navel in daily life? real low!).

The few days after that were fine for me. No infections. Only occasional soreness cos of my active lifestyle. However, recently school had started so I had to wear my uniform. My skirt has a waistband that keeps irritating my navel piercing. my navel now is fine… there are some pus coming out probably due to the irritation caused by my waistband. However it doesn’t hurt much. So yeah. I’m satisfied with my piercing. It’s worth the pain. =)

These days different kinds of glowing things have become extremely popular - glowing sticks, necklaces, bracelets, design elements and full range of kinds products. Glowing body jewelry is not an exception - and the ones that glow will have glowing UV sticks attached and will start glowing when activated.
